||General Ability – I
The General Ability test Battery is one of the oldest and tested means of assessing employee potential.
It measures employee potential in 3 areas: Numerical ability , English Knowledge , Logical ability. Not all abilities are essential for each job,
For instance –when recruiting an accountant you need to note his numerical ability to be stronger then his logical ability
For a receptionist or secretary – English knowledge / Logaical thinking should be of a higher range.
||General Ability – II
This is a test to see how well you can think. It contains questions of different kinds: some to check your arithmetical skills, some to check if you can think logically, and some to test your English language ability.
Apart from his own Selling Skills a Sales Person has options to focus on 3 aspects in the selling process viz.
Focus on Company , Product and Customer
While some Sales Persons use the Selling Techniques and also focus on any one of the above aspects (i.e. Company or the Product or the Customer); some focus on any two aspects (i.e. Company + Product or Company + Customer or Product + Customer) and some focus on all three aspects (i.e. Company+Product+ Customer).
Based on the above there are 9 different styles that emerge. Though 9,9,9 (focus on all three aspects) is the best style it is not possible for each Sales Person to have that style. Hence the best option is to analyze the Role and shortlist the preferred styles accordingly. Say for Example he the sales role requires the person to go from shop-to-shop and book orders without having anything to do with selling (like a distributor’s salesman) the 9,9,9 style will be disaster while the 1,1,1 style will be a great success.
